Hello, my name is Srey Leak, and I am 11 years old. I live with my grandma and my 9-year-old nephew. My nephew had to stop going to the TASSEL school because he has to find food for us to eat. My mother took her own life five years ago when she contracted HIV. In my country, people are still scared of this disease.

My father, who lived in another house even before my mother got sick, disappeared from our village one year ago without a word. Sometimes, we see him around our village during holidays when he is out with his new wife. He looks the other way and pretends not to recognize us. My nephew tries his best to get us food by picking snails and flowers to sell, but it is not enough for us to eat enough every day.
